A lung-cancer trial tests whether selecting tumors with a specific TROP2 staining pattern identifies patients who benefit from datopotamab deruxtecan.
TROPION-Lung17 prospectively compares datopotamab deruxtecan with docetaxel in previously treated advanced nonsquamous NSCLC without actionable genomic alterations. Entry requires TROP2 normalized membrane ratio positivity from an investigational in vitro diagnostic. This is a prospective validation study, not a required companion test for existing FDA TROP2 indications or a validated TNBC biomarker. ClinicalTrials.gov record last updated 2026-09-04: recruiting. Enrollment is planned at 400 participants. Primary completion is estimated at 2029-01-29. No tabular results are posted on ClinicalTrials.gov; this does not exclude separate publications.
