Led the trial proving that an anti-GD2 antibody improves survival in high-risk neuroblastoma.
Alice Yu is Professor of Pediatrics at UC San Diego and an immunotherapy investigator with the Children's Oncology Group (COG). A paediatric oncologist specialising in neuroblastoma and anti-GD2 antibodies, she was study chair of COG ANBL0032, the randomised trial of ch14.18 (dinutuximab) with GM-CSF and IL-2 that established anti-GD2 immunotherapy in high-risk neuroblastoma. Her papers report the anti-GD2 antibody with GM-CSF, interleukin-2 and isotretinoin for neuroblastoma in the New England Journal of Medicine and the long-term follow-up of that phase III study in Clinical Cancer Research. Her work made a monoclonal antibody against GD2 part of paediatric immunotherapy.
